Media Production Capstone
This short series of music videos using stop motion and digital film explores a personal take on what the motions of life look like and how change is a strenuous process.
Process is an exploration project, navigating some of the many phases of life we go through. The use of paper puppet stop motion along with curated music for each sequence, creates an optimistic take on the beauty of change and growth. Each song was self produced in an effort to capture the different mindsets she frequently faces as she battles her inner critic to allow creativity to flourish. This being her final project in her college career, she wanted to take this opportunity as a way to prove to herself what she is capable of while also soothing the heartache of moving on to the next step.
This project included hours of hard work to create art work for the stop motion on top of creating sets for the digital camera work. However, part of the fun was in creating the music. Using Logic Pro X, I explored ambience and was able to engineer the perfect atmosphere I wanted to create through sound.
